On elyrics.net, I found the lyrics to Fleetwood Mac's Dreams (the song we are using for our music video) - here I have highlighted and enlarged the key words signifying the main themes for our music video. It is obviously about love, however the song is not specific in anyway and we can therefore choose to play on many different aspects such as freedom, independence, relationships, friendships, love, hate and our surroundings. 

New Song Choice Permission

As we have changed our song from Justice's D.A.N.C.E to Fleetwood Mac's Dreams, we have to first get permission from Blue Horizon records (Fleetwood Mac's record label) to ensure we are able to to use it without committing anything against the copyright act.

OUR NEW SONG

We have finally found our new song! It is catchy with a good beat where we can incorporate all our original ideas into, along with lyrics so we have include lip syncing in there too. Despite being an old song - The Twelves have made a remix version, which creates the dance-y/electro sound to it as well as it having that retro/aged feel to it.

Boy Crisis - Dressed To Digress (Nero Remix)
After coming across this song on the UKF dubstep channel, I really liked the beat, as many of our previous ideas such as; the use of colourful lights, quick flashing shots and many of the techniques used in the practise video can be used. 


The original song (unremixed)
A much slower, rocky sound to the remix. Personally, I would think our genre and ideas would work much better with the Nero remix.

Previous Song Choices

The Greeks - Is Tropical

My group and myself were considering using this song by The Greeks for our music video, the official video for this is particularly interesting. Despite not using this for our actual video, we have gained some ideas for it, as we love the whole children playing the roles of adults and the entire contrast in both reality and animation. The effects are humourous and fit the Indie genre entirely, although the lyrics allow new, completely different ideas to be made.

Song Choice

Together myself and my group have come up with a range of initial ideas connected to our final A2 music video. The song choice we have decided to do is Justice - D.A.N.C.E, it is very entertaining - containing both animation and real-life shots. One thing that particularly interested me was the contrast of the black and white shot, juxtaposed with the coloured writing or animation - drawing the younger generation into this entire disco/futuristic era.
