Digipak Ideas

As the deadline for our digipak is so close - I have finally decided on some ideas I am going to experiment with. As our song is a remix created by 'dj's, the front of my CD cover will feature something in link with this - preferably some decks which I have access to. I thought perhaps having a woman's hand reaching over to the decks would make it a little more interesting, with  "Hunt the Noise - Dreams" being on the digital screen of the decks them. Although it is a rather simple idea, I think it could work really well without being too overcrowded, especially if I ensure I have dim lighting with a real focus on the band name and title.

The Greeks - Is Tropical

My group and myself were considering using this song by The Greeks for our music video, the official video for this is particularly interesting. Despite not using this for our actual video, we have gained some ideas for it, as we love the whole children playing the roles of adults and the entire contrast in both reality and animation. The effects are humourous and fit the Indie genre entirely, although the lyrics allow new, completely different ideas to be made.

Colourful Paint/Flour Idea

One of the very first ideas we had was to use some form of substance (paint or flour) inside balloons, then using the effect of them exploding in our music video. This was later seen in Example's video, which came our soon after we thought of this! It is a brilliant thing to do and something you don't seen often, hopefully we will be able to recreate this and insert it into our own.

One of our ideas within our group was to have an animal/inhuman aspect - perhaps, inspired by using animal painted faces or even costumes. Eliza Doolittle's Mr Medicine is a video we happened to come across and we especially loved the part where these mysterious people in costumes join her whilst singing in a lonely, dark street. This is particularly effective, as we could play on this theme in a small section of our video.

After coming across this video, we noticed the fast forward/rewind part at point 0.45
Really like this effect, as it would go really well with our song choice in particular beats in the song.



Skatepark idea
The whole 'London' town idea with all different kinds of people skating around, having fun.


Images on tshirt, this idea is extremely similar to the one in the official Justice video, which is why we may not use it. Although we have purchased some plain green screen to perhaps, make some pieces of clothing to experiment with.
